POKEDDEXY 19: Espeon

My favorite Eevelution is Espeon! For those who don't follow me on tumblr, I kinda spoiled that fact last week lol.

But yeah, this took like a week to finish because grad school kinda went back to full throttle after exam week ended, which was rather unfortunate because I really don't like interrupting a piece to finish it later when it's meant to be a quick work like most pokeddexys (pokeddexies? how do you pluralize that i dont think its even english). Two weeks ago was uncharacteristically productive for me in terms of art because exams = no homework, so it was a bit of a shock going back to the usual routine.

But since I had quite a few days to mull over this piece, I ended up going a little more overboard than I intended to... The tree turned out okay-ish? I'll concede it's a bit of an improvement, but I still struggle with them so I usually try to disguise their presence somehow haha. Also when I finished sketching out the Espeon, I didn't feel like doing lineart at the time, so I sorta just ... didn't do lineart. Because of that, I was able to make this sort of a pseudo-lineless piece. Really I drew the Espeon using a more refined version of the technique I first attempted with Inversion. I think it works best with fur.

Boy that Aspear berry looks pretty tasty now...
